Dhaka Club members chose Shameem Hussain as their new president during weekend voting. The businessman won the leadership position at the club's yearly member gathering. Hussain runs Robin Printing & Packaging as a company director. He previously led Uttara Club before taking this new role. Saturday's election brought fresh leadership to the historic organization.
Club members also picked ten people for the board of directors. Tajbir Salehin earned a seat alongside Mohammad Rabiul Islam Azad. Tanvir Ahmed Miki and Kujesta Nur-e-Naharin joined the governing body. Tuhin Reza and Naeem Md Kaiyum received member support for board positions.
The remaining director spots went to four other candidates. Israt Helal won election to serve on the leadership team. Mojaharul Haque Shahid gained enough votes for board membership. Md Aminur Reza Khan secured his place among the directors. Ehsanul Haque rounded out the new board lineup.
