Singer Shibani Kashyap is heading to the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah for India Night, where she'll perform two tracks from the classic Bollywood film Umrao Jaan alongside a screening that'll have Rekha and director Muzaffar Ali in attendance. She's planning to sing Dil Cheez Kya Hai and In Aankhon Ki Masti Ke as her tribute to the restored movie.
Kashyap admitted she's definitely nervous about performing in front of such legendary figures, but she's calling it more of a blessing than anything else. Her set will blend contemporary and classic vibes with help from Qawwali singer Aman Khan Sabri, and they'll throw in some fusion elements through songs like Damadum Mast Qalandar.
The festival kicks off with international delegates catching her performance before she does a separate show for the Indian community living there, giving her a chance to run through a mix of retro and modern Bollywood hits.
