Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra grilled by Mumbai police in 60 cr fraud

Mumbai Police Economic Offences Wing has interrogated actress Shilpa Shetty and businessman Raj Kundra regarding allegations of financial misconduct worth 60 crores. Officers issued a summons to both individuals after businessman Deepak Kothari filed a complaint against the couple. Kothari claims the defendants defrauded him of substantial funds between 2015 and 2023. The complainant alleges that money provided for business expansion purposes was instead diverted for personal expenditures. Authorities plan to question Kundra again during the coming week.

The actress recently created confusion about her Bandra restaurant Bastian when she initially announced its closure. Shetty later retracted this statement and confirmed the establishment would continue operations. She revealed plans to launch two additional dining venues called Ammakai and Bastian Beach Club. The new Ammakai restaurant will feature authentic South Indian Mangalorean cuisine at the existing Bandra location. The second venture, Bastian Beach Club, will open in the Juhu area.
