Shivanna won't beg Rajini for a role, wants it worthy first

Shivrajkumar basically said he wouldn't just drag Rajinikanth into a Kannada movie for clout. The Kannada star, talking up his new film 45, addressed whether he'd ask the Tamil legend for a role. He made it clear that he respects Rajinikanth too much to pull a cheap stunt, refusing to exploit their connection just because he himself appeared in the Tamil blockbuster Jailer. If a truly worthy part comes along, he stated he would definitely make the request, but the project would need to be something really special first.

His upcoming movie 45 is directed by the composer Arjun Janya, marking that guy's first time in the director's chair. The film is produced by Uma Ramesh Reddy and M Ramesh Reddy, with dialogue from Anil Kumar. It features Shivrajkumar alongside Raj B Shetty and Upendra in key parts, and the story reportedly unfolds over a forty-five minute span. The cinematographer is Satya Hegde, and the editor is K M Prakash.

Arjun Janya told sources the plot sprang from his own life experiences, and Shivrajkumar himself pushed him to direct it. When pressed on the genre, both the director and actor Raj B Shetty seemed to dodge a simple label. Shetty described it as a blend of three things: a grounded story about a regular person, a cinematic moment involving another character, and a final shift into pure fantasy. He claimed these elements merge together without feeling jarring. The action scenes were handled by a team including K Ravivarma and Jolly Bastian, while dance sequences were choreographed by Chinni Prakash and B Dhananjay.
