Siakam Carries Pacers to NBA Finals After 25 Years

The Indiana Pacers crushed the New York Knicks 125-108 during Saturday's playoff game at home. The victory sent Indiana to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2000. Pascal Siakam led the Pacers with 31 points and three blocked shots. The team won the series 4-2 against New York. Siakam earned series MVP honors after his strong performance throughout the playoffs.

The Pacers will face the Oklahoma City Thunder during the NBA Finals starting Thursday. Siakam had scored over 30 points during three of his team's four wins against New York. The veteran forward won a championship with Toronto back during 2019. He said reaching the Finals felt harder the second time around. His coach Rick Carlisle praised Siakam's steady play all season long.

Tyrese Haliburton helped the home team with 21 points and 13 assists. Obi Toppin came off the bench to score 18 points for Indiana. The Knicks got 24 points from OG Anunoby and 22 from Karl-Anthony Towns. New York hurt itself with 18 turnovers during the loss. Indiana broke away during the third quarter with a 9-0 scoring run that ended the series.
