Sikandar Raza Ditches PSL Drama for Trent Bridge

Sikandar Raza will play for Zimbabwe against England in the Test match at Trent Bridge this month. The Pakistan Super League will start again on May 17 after the Pakistan Cricket Board stopped games due to military tensions between India and Pakistan. Raza said he puts national duty first and will definitely play in the Test match. He denied reports that claimed he would miss the Test or not return to Pakistan for PSL games. The match takes place from May 22 to 26, making it Zimbabwe's first Test in England since 2003.

The Test follows a competitive series against Bangladesh, where Zimbabwe won one match but ended in a tie. Raza represents Lahore Qalandars in PSL 2025, where he performed well. He scored 228 runs with a high strike rate of 163 and a batting average of 45.60 across nine games. His bowling also impressed with eight wickets at an average of 15.10 and an economy rate of 7.10. Zimbabwe announced their Test squad with Craig Ervine leading fourteen other players for the England tour.
