Simone Inzaghi risks Milan fury to poach Ismael Bennacer for Al Hilal

Saudi giants Al-Hilal have set their sights on Milan midfielder Ismaël Bennacer as their latest summer target. The Algerian star has caught the attention of new manager Simone Inzaghi, who specifically requested the club pursue the 26-year-old. Former Milan teammate Theo Hernandez has reportedly backed the move and encouraged Al-Hilal's interest. La Gazzetta dello Sport revealed that the Saudi powerhouse has already made contact about a potential transfer. Milan officials Paolo Maldini and Giorgio Furlani appear open to negotiations.

Bennacer currently pockets 4 million euros per year at San Siro but could see his wages skyrocket with a Saudi switch. The Rossoneri hierarchy wants to offload the midfielder to reduce their financial pressures ahead of the new campaign. Milan desperately needs to balance their books and view Bennacer as a valuable asset they can sell. The club expects him back for training camp on July 21 after their Singapore tour begins. Management hopes to secure a deal before he returns to avoid complications.

Christian Pulisic finds himself in a completely different situation despite similar Saudi interest. The American winger remains central to Milan's future plans and the club refuses to entertain offers. His contract extends through 2028 but renewal talks have stalled amid concerns about lucrative Saudi temptations. Milan fears losing their star player to astronomical Middle Eastern wages. The club must decide whether to meet his demands or risk losing him.
