Solar techs busted on the job, cable caper ends in a chase

Two solar techs got caught trying to yank thousands of dollars' worth of cables from a hospital job site in Bulawayo. Honest Munyika and Langton Gwara work for Watts and OHMS Solar Company, and they showed up late at night at Ingutsheni Central Hospital, where gear was sitting in the open near the kitchen. They sliced up six cable rolls and loaded them onto a pushcart before dragging more copper wire toward some bushes.

A security guard spotted the sketchy behavior and called their supervisor, who rounded up other workers to chase them down. The pair ditched everything and bounced into the darkness when they realized people were coming after them. Police grabbed them later, and they landed in court facing theft charges for the whole mess that was valued at over six grand.
