Sony snaps up producer Jon Buscema in global deal

Sony Music Publishing just locked down a producer with a serious reputation. They signed Jon Buscema to a global deal through Daniel Nigro's venture, Amusement. This marks an early producer signing for Nigro's company. Buscema has built a name working across genres with artists like Conan Gray and Grace VanderWaal. He played a central role in developing newer acts such as Devon Again and Noah Rinker.

Buscema stated he found a team sharing his passion for artist development. Nigro called the producer one of the smartest and most thoughtful he has encountered. A Sony executive praised Buscema's high level of taste and decisive creative nature. The producer began his career playing in bands within the New York City music scene before relocating to Los Angeles.

His work extends beyond artist projects into commercial sync placements. Buscema has landed music for major brands and streaming platforms. The agreement represents another catalog expansion move for the publishing giant. Sony has recently acquired other music companies and secured several global administration agreements.
