Sowore Labels Anti-Tinubu Coalition as Tired and Complicit in Nigeria's Issues

Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore attacked people leading efforts against President Tinubu's 2027 election campaign. The SaharaReporters publisher called coalition members exhausted individuals who helped create Nigeria's current problems. Sowore spoke during a Wednesday evening television interview on Arise News. He described these political figures as destiny thieves similar to cattle thieves. The activist said these leaders bear responsibility for the nation's struggles.

Sowore rejected joining any opposition group formed to challenge the current administration. He stated that ordinary citizens should create their movement instead of following established politicians. The publisher believes the anti-Tinubu coalition serves as a distraction from genuine grassroots organizing. He argued that oppressed Nigerians need their alliance rather than one led by former government officials. Sowore emphasized his distance from the current opposition efforts.

Several prominent political figures lead the coalition opposing Tinubu's potential second term. Former Senate President David Mark helps guide the group's activities. Ex-Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai participates as a key organizer. Former Rivers State Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi also supports the movement. Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar rounds out the leadership team working to defeat Tinubu.
