Space Museum lifts off in Yangon, future stars get inspired

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing opened a revamped space museum at Yangon's People's Square after the old planetarium got a digital upgrade. The Myanmar Space Agency is handling projects with international partners to get local students involved in astronomy competitions and space tech programs, and the regime sent 11 young participants to events in Russia, where they nabbed awards.

The general said the museum gives kids a chance to check out satellite models, spacecraft exhibits, and deep-space displays instead of just reading about rockets in textbooks. He wants Myanmar to produce future astronauts and engineers who can compete internationally, and he's banking on partnerships to make that happen through peaceful applications of space technology in development sectors.
