Space42 taps Core42, Microsoft to lock UAE mobility data in sovereign cloud

Space42 develops the United Arab Emirates' inaugural Sovereign Mobility Cloud through collaboration with Core42 and Microsoft Azure. The Dubai World Congress served as the venue for this announcement. Microsoft's cloud and logistics applications combine with Space42's mobility knowledge to accelerate autonomous transport deployment. National regulations guide data storage within UAE borders while maintaining security compliance. The initiative establishes global standards for trusted platforms in autonomous mobility systems.

The cloud platform delivers trusted infrastructure supporting mobility data and autonomous vehicle operations. High-definition mapping, telematics, fleet management, traffic coordination, and digital twin technologies form the system's foundation. Government agencies, industry partners, and research organizations share data securely through this network. Transport authorities will establish regulatory testing environments and reference deployment sites. Global automotive companies, technology firms, and academic institutions will expand the ecosystem through partnerships.

Space42's TXAI autonomous service demonstrates operational success with nearly 600,000 kilometers traveled and 20,000 passenger journeys completed safely. The fleet operates across Saadiyat, Yas, Al Maryah, and Al Reem Islands plus Abu Dhabi Airport.
