Got a real-life video game boss getting locked up over in Ghana. A court in Sefwi Bodi, that's in the Western North Region, tossed a guy named Victor Biney in a cell. They call him Abeiku around Juaboso. This dude is not your average thief. He apparently ran a whole side hustle as a spiritualist, selling magic charms and what he called black powers. His sales pitch was that his clients would become bulletproof, immune to gunshots and machete swings.
This arrest went down after cops spent weeks digging into a nasty robbery at a mining site in Sefwi Antobia. They connected Biney to that one and a bunch of other heists in Juaboso. One of those was a brazen daytime hit on a wholesale shop where someone got killed, and a ton of cash was taken. The judge on the case, Frank Asiedu Nimako, wasn't having any of it. He shot down a bail request hard, so Biney stays locked up until his next court date. Turns out this guy is already wrapped up in another criminal trial at the Bibiani Circuit Court, with a verdict coming soon on that separate mess.
Cops say their work is not done. The Juaboso District Police are still hunting for other members of this supposed robbery crew linked to Biney's operations. They told people they are pushing the investigation to round up the rest of the network.
