Splave Sets World Record with 47,375 Points in 3DMark Port Royal on ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5090 OC

Splave broke the world record for graphics card performance using an ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5090 OC. The expert overclocker scored 47,375 points on the 3DMark Port Royal benchmark test. He used nitrogen cooling to push the graphics card far beyond normal limits. The achievement puts him at the top of global leaderboards for this graphics card model. His score beats the previous record holder OGS who managed 47,196 points just days earlier.

The record-breaking run achieved 219.33 frames per second during testing. Most RTX 5090 cards score around 36,000 points on the same test. Splave managed to score 31% higher than the typical result for this graphics card. The 11,000 point difference represents a massive performance gain from the same hardware. ASUS promoted the achievement across their social media accounts.

The graphics card normally runs at 2610 MHz from the factory. Splave pushed the clock speed to 3007 MHz during his record run. Other overclockers have reached speeds close to 3500 MHz with similar setups. The extreme cooling setup allows the chip to handle much higher speeds than air cooling permits. These tests require special equipment and expertise that regular computer users should avoid.

Overclocking records change hands frequently among competitive enthusiasts. The current record may last only days before another overclocker beats it. These extreme performance tests serve as hobbies for dedicated computer enthusiasts rather than practical gaming applications.
