Spotify to hike Premium prices in the US by 2026

Spotify intends to increase subscription fees across the United States by early next year as the streaming giant capitalizes on record profitability and pushes toward sustained financial growth. The platform generated roughly $670 million in operating income during the third quarter, while analysts project an American price adjustment could inject nearly $500 million into annual revenues, though the current $11.99 monthly premium rate has climbed just $2 since the service debuted over a decade ago.

Wall Street observers believe the Swedish company will mirror recent price hikes rolled out across Australia and Europe, where subscriber retention remained stable despite higher costs. Major record labels have pressed streaming platforms to lift fees that have lagged behind inflation, particularly when measured against video services charging significantly more per month.
