Central Intelligence Officer Tinashe Muyambo disrupted MP Ropafadzo Makumire's community meeting at Chishamiso Stadium. The officer parked his black Toyota truck at the center of the field and drank beer with friends for three hours. Police and Tongaat Hulett Zimbabwe had already approved the soccer tournament and community engagement event. Muyambo's actions delayed the meeting from 9 AM to noon and scared local residents. Community members wanted to take action against the officer but Makumire stopped them to keep peace.
Makumire thanked police and Central Intelligence Office officials for removing Muyambo from the stadium. The MP said the officer's behavior damaged community trust and must be addressed. Hippo Valley Community Services Officer Brawl Chikandiwa had given written permission for the event with guidelines about police notification and cleanliness. Muyambo had criticized Makumire before his transfer from Chikombedzi to Chiredzi Office. The officer's conduct blocks community development efforts and creates fear among residents.
