St Petersburg Migrant Rapes Woman Pregnant Wife Stabbed

Police caught one person after two attacks happened in St. Petersburg. Both crimes hurt women who lived in the city. Officers continue hunting for the second attacker who ran away. The crimes shocked people who heard about what happened. Both incidents happened within days of each other.

A 36-year-old man from Central Asia attacked a 42-year-old woman on Konstantin Zaslonov Street during May 29. People watched the assault happen right in front of them. The woman needed doctors to help her recover from her injuries. Police arrested the man and charged him under Russian criminal law. He faces serious time in prison for the attack.

Another migrant stabbed his pregnant girlfriend twice on Pskovskaya Street during a fight. The 19-year-old woman went to the hospital with wounds to her stomach and leg. Doctors say she should recover from the injuries she received. The attacker escaped before police arrived at the scene. Officers search the area hoping to find the man who hurt the young woman.
