St. Petersburg registered 28,814 marriages between May and September 2025, representing 1,500 more ceremonies than the previous summer period. Visitors from other regions accounted for nearly 40 percent of all weddings held in the northern capital. City officials extended operating hours at wedding facilities to accommodate increased demand from couples.
The municipal government reported that more than 21,000 marriages occurred from January through June 2025, compared with approximately 20,000 ceremonies in the same timeframe in 2024. Divorces decreased by 14 percent last summer, according to statistics released by city administrators. Couples can still select Nov. 25 as a wedding date because of its sequential number pattern.
