Nigeria's student loan program has handed out cash to nearly 789,000 kids since the thing went live, and they've processed over a million applications total. The fund dropped about 82 billion naira on tuition payments to 262 schools, plus another 58 billion went straight to students for living expenses.
The agency says the whole operation has moved around 141 billion naira since launch, with roughly 36,000 new applications getting wrapped up in the last week alone. Over 3,000 fresh requests came through on a single day, and the program keeps chugging along at that pace.
