Sucker Punch co-founder exits after 28 years

A major shift is happening at Sucker Punch Productions. Brian Fleming, a co-founder and longtime studio head, is stepping down after nearly three decades. New leadership will come from Jason Connell and Adrian Bentley, who will serve as co-studio heads, with Nate Fox remaining as co-creative director.

Fleming announced his departure on LinkedIn, stating his final day will be in April 2026 as he assists with the transition. He plans to take a break and travel afterward, exploring opportunities both inside and outside the gaming industry. He expressed full confidence in the current leadership team, calling it the strongest the studio has ever had.

Fleming's exit marks the end of an era for the developer behind hits like Ghost of Tsushima and inFamous. His nearly thirty-year tenure saw the studio grow into a beloved first-party PlayStation team. The industry will be watching both his next move and how Sucker Punch navigates this new chapter without its founding leader.
