Sukhbir Badal accuses AAP of looting Punjab blind

Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Badal criticized the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab on Saturday for planning to auction government properties. The SAD leader stated that his party would oppose the sale of a modern fruit and vegetable market established by former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on 12 acres in Mohali. Badal noted that the Mandi Board auctioned vegetable and fruit shops to traders one year earlier, but the board has decided to cancel the auction and remove shopkeepers.

The SAD chief flagged off 25 trolleys of maize silage for flood-affected villages in Fazilka constituency. Badal accused the government of planning to sell properties to preferred buyers through corrupt practices. He visited flood-damaged villages of Sabuana, Mahatam Nagar, and Jhangar Bhaini. Farmers told Badal that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has not released the promised compensation of 20,000 rupees per acre for crop damage.
