Super Eagles soar past Tunisia, AFCON dream alive after shaky finish

Nigeria's soccer team almost blew a huge lead but held on for a messy win. The Super Eagles beat Tunisia three-two in a tense Africa Cup of Nations group match, surviving a late scare after dominating early. Victor Osimhen opened the scoring right before halftime, with Ademola Lookman assisting that goal before setting up Wilfred Ndidi and then scoring the third himself.

A three-nil advantage nearly unraveled in the final twenty minutes as Tunisia scored twice, including an Ali Abdi penalty, creating a nervy finish. Nigerian substitute Emmanuel Ejuke missed a key chance to seal the game earlier; his weak shot was saved. The victory showed both the team's high-level attacking potential and its troubling tendency to lose focus, almost costing them points they clearly earned.
