CARP Audio just dropped a plugin that finally swings actual audio. Their new Swing Master effect applies classic swing and groove to plain audio in real time, a step beyond older tools that only work on MIDI or require offline processing.
The plugin chops the incoming audio based on your DAW's beat grid and then delays specific steps to create the swing feel, all while staying locked to the project tempo. This lets you tweak drum loops or other rhythmic tracks without manually chopping and sliding clips. A De-Bleed function keeps the shifted slices clean, preventing mud from overlapping audio while preserving any original micro-timing. To avoid glitches from the slicing, it uses a custom real-time algorithm that removes click artifacts and can even sharpen the rhythm on non-percussive sounds.
The intro price is forty bucks until January 11th, after which it goes up to sixty.
