Switch 2 Red Dead 2 Port Has Gamers Freaking Out

Rumors suggest Rockstar Games plans to bring Red Dead Redemption 2 to Nintendo Switch 2. Sources close to the company told GameReactor the western adventure might arrive as early as this year. The game first came out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One back in 2018. Rockstar reportedly works on upgraded versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S at the same time. These updates would improve graphics and make the game run better.

The timing makes sense because Rockstar delayed Grand Theft Auto VI until 2026. Take-Two, the parent company, wants games to release during the wait. The Nintendo Switch 2 should handle Red Dead Redemption 2 since it runs on older systems. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick recently mentioned the opportunities the new Nintendo system offers. Fans should remain cautious about these reports until Rockstar makes an official announcement. The original Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to sell on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
