The musician SZA has launched a partnership with the Jon & Vinny's restaurant chain to provide free meals to Los Angeles residents affected by interruptions in SNAP benefits. She proposed the initiative, which will distribute 1,400 meals over seven days.
Beginning November 11, the program will offer one hundred dinners for two daily for takeout from the Slauson Avenue location. Los Angeles-based SNAP recipients can arrange to pick up a maximum of four meals per family by contacting a dedicated email address.
