Tagwirei gives $100K to ex-players group backing Dambudzo Mnangagwa

A politician just bought a football group's loyalty with a huge cash injection. A ZANU-PF youth official revealed that Kudakwashe Tagwirei gave one hundred thousand dollars to a new party affiliate. The group called Former Footballers and Coaches for Economic Development received the funds during a meeting in Murehwa. The event featured confessions of political conversion and support for extending the president's term.

The gathering occurred at the farm of Taurai Kandishaya, a party deputy commissar. He stated that the money guarantees healthcare and other benefits for the former athletes. Prominent members include legendary coach Sunday Chidzambwa, who once led the national team. The move aligns with stated party themes of development and unity while securing a key demographic's backing.
