Tales fans want more remasters before Tales of Berseria

Bandai Namco has announced a remastered version of Tales of Berseria for current gaming platforms, a decision that has disappointed some enthusiasts. The game, originally released in 2016, will receive new quality-of-life features. Critics argue that other, less accessible titles in the series were more deserving of a remaster.

Several games were suggested as better candidates. Tales of Hearts R remains exclusive to the PlayStation Vita, severely limiting its audience. Tales of the Abyss is similarly difficult to access as it lacks a modern digital release. Tales of Rebirth, a 2D entry, was never officially localized for Western markets. Fans also expressed a strong desire for Tales of Xillia 2 and the highly regarded Tales of Destiny Director's Cut, the latter being praised for its combat system but never released outside Japan.

Many hope these older titles will eventually be modernized, especially as the franchise continues its hiatus since the launch of Tales of Arise.
