Tannishtha Chatterjee takes Full Plate to Busan after cancer fight

Veteran actress Shabana Azmi praised filmmaker Tannishtha Chatterjee on Instagram for her remarkable achievement. Chatterjee completed her directorial project, Full Plate, while receiving cancer treatment. The film will premiere at the Busan International Film Festival 2025. Azmi posted photos with Chatterjee, Divya Dutta, and Urmila Matondkar while calling the director a rock of Gibraltar. She commended Chatterjee for her strength during this challenging period.

Full Plate features Kirti Kulhari as the lead actress alongside Sharib Hashmi, Monica Dogra, and Indraneil Sengupta. Chatterjee received her stage 4 oligo metastatic cancer diagnosis during post-production work earlier this year. The director expressed gratitude to her cast and crew for their support during the challenging filming conditions. She thanked producers Ashutosh, Anup, Mohan, and Ketki for backing the independent project. Chatterjee previously appeared in acclaimed films Parched and Angry Indian Goddesses before transitioning to directing.
