Tanzania appoints Tido Mhando as presidential advisor

Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan has designated Tido Mhando as her advisor on information and communication, according to a statement from the Office of the Chief Secretary. Ambassador Moses Kusiluka signed the announcement detailing the administrative changes.

Bakari Machumu will assume the role of Director of Communications at State House, succeeding Sharifa Nyanga, who received reassignment to alternative responsibilities. The president simultaneously appointed Lazaro Nyalandu to serve as ambassador.

Officials characterized the personnel adjustments as measures designed to enhance coordination of governmental communications and strengthen diplomatic operations throughout the country.
