Tanzania flexes safari cred as global tourism darling

Tanzania is flexing its nature muscles hard at a trade fair in Zanzibar. TTB head Ephraim Mafuru visited the Fumba event to tell locals they must value natural resources. He claimed these assets support the economy. Mafuru spoke while checking the TANAPA booth at the ZITF show.

The director general noted his agency pushes country visibility locally and abroad. He pointed to recent wins at the World Travel Awards as proof that the state works hard. Mafuru believes these trophies show government efforts alongside tourism players are paying off big time.

Serengeti National Park grabbed the title of Best National Park globally. The nation also took home the prize for World's Leading Safari Destination. Mafuru explained how this recognition gives the country special status. It confirms Tanzania is a top-tier spot for safari lovers everywhere.

Conservation Commissioner CPA Musa Nassoro Kuji also chimed in regarding the discussion. Kuji promised that TANAPA plans to utilize global expo stages for showcasing park hotspots. He also wants to boost teaching efforts about saving nature. The goal involves keeping development sustainable.

These ZITF displays fit into a wider plan to hype up Tanzania overseas. Authorities want tourism to put more cash into social growth. It is all about getting more economic value out of visitors.
