Tanzania gears up for major summit showdown in Luanda

Angola's capital of Luanda opened the 7th African Union and European Union Summit, where Vice President Emmanuel Nchimbi represented Tanzania after chairing preparatory sessions with key officials. Deputy Minister Ngwaru Maghembe confirmed that all documentation and contributions from Tanzania were ready for submission at the gathering.

The preparatory meeting brought together Zanzibar's Minister of State, Sharif Ali Sharif, ambassadors stationed in Zambia, Ethiopia, and Belgium, as well as senior diplomats from the Foreign Affairs ministry. Lieutenant General Mathew Mkingule, Innocent Shiyo, Jestas Nyamanga, Swahiba Mndeme, and Ali Bujiku participated in the briefing.

Leaders from both continental blocs convened to strengthen cooperation on shared concerns through multilateral approaches and unified strategies. The diplomatic event concludes the following day.
