Tanzania kids code the future with Russian tech fest

Russia dropped a robotics and educational tech festival at Tanzania's National Institute of Transport with help from Rossotrudnichestvo and partners like 1T IT Company and Saint Petersburg State Marine Technical University. Students and teachers got access to robot-building workshops, VR design sessions, gaming tournaments, and career guidance while six Russian specialists shared their expertise through hands-on demonstrations.

Rector Prosper Mgaya said the event gives Tanzanian students real exposure to technologies reshaping global industries while opening doors for educational cooperation between both countries. Alexander Evstigneev from the Russian House stressed that robotics and artificial intelligence represent the future rather than just entertainment.

The festival runs through multiple venues, hitting Alpha High School and the Russian House after launching at the transport institute. The program already went down in Port Louis back in November before making its way to Dar es Salaam.
