Tanzania's gunning for 8,000 megawatts of power generation by hitting up different energy sources, and Energy Minister Deogratias Ndejembi says they're planning to wrap the whole thing up by 2030. He dropped this during a staff meeting in Morogoro, where he basically told everyone to stop being corrupt and lazy because electricity matters for the economy.
The ministry's also pushing clean cooking tech since they want 80 percent of people using it by 2034. Ndejembi kept hammering his team about ethics and delivering decent services when it comes to electricity, oil, and gas instead of screwing around.
Secretary General Felchesmi Mramba chimed in, saying they'll keep tabs on all the projects to make sure people actually get reliable power that doesn't suck.
