KOEI TECMO's Team Ninja will release NINJA GAIDEN 4 on Oct. 21 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S before launching The Two Masters downloadable content in early 2026. Game Director Masakazu Hirayama announced the expansion during the Official Xbox Podcast at Tokyo Game Show 2025. The downloadable content introduces distinct weapons for characters Yakumo and Ryu, with Yakumo receiving equipment suited to expressive combat abilities and Ryu obtaining tools for precise, high-speed attacks.
The Two Masters expansion adds story content set after the base game's conclusion from both characters' perspectives. Players can access post-game challenge content separate from the base game's Ninja Trials. The expansion becomes available through the Deluxe Edition or Deluxe Edition Upgrade, which costs $20 more than the standard version. The base game offers 15 to 20 hours of gameplay, but Team Ninja has not disclosed how much additional content the downloadable expansion provides.
