Techland Hints at Potential Dying Light The Beast Release for Switch 2

Techland wants to bring Dying Light: The Beast to Nintendo Switch 2 but has made no firm promises. Franchise Director Tymon Smektała said he would love to make it happen during a Summer Game Fest 2025 interview. The company cannot announce anything official at this time.

The developer has upgraded their C-Engine technology for better graphics in the new game. Weather effects and lighting systems work much better than Dying Light 2: Stay Human. The engine creates more realistic shadows and sun movement across the sky.

Dying Light: The Beast will launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems in 2025. Nintendo Switch 2 should easily handle the game since older consoles can run it. The challenge comes from business decisions rather than technical problems.

The original Dying Light took six years to reach Nintendo Switch after its 2015 release. Techland bundled all downloadable content into a Platinum Edition for that delayed launch. The company might use the same strategy for their newest zombie game.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human was supposed to get a cloud version for the original Nintendo Switch. That promised version never appeared on the platform.
