Teenagers dominate MMSC Indian National Car Racing Championship opener at Kari Motor Speedway

Young drivers dominated the opening round of the MMSC FMSCI Indian National Car Racing Championship 2025 at Kari Motor Speedway. Sixteen-year-old racers Ishaan Madesh from Bengaluru and Arjun Chheda from Pune claimed victories in the Formula 2000 category. Chheda secured a double triumph after winning Saturday's opening race. Two Bengaluru competitors, Arjun Nair and Nigel Abraham Thomas, split the Formula 1600 wins between them.

Fifteen-year-old Bhuvan Bonu impressed spectators by capturing the Formula LGB 1300 race before rain canceled the afternoon event. Mumbai's Biren Pithawalla delivered a dramatic victory in the Indian Touring Cars finale when mechanical problems struck leader Arjun Balu's Honda City. Rithwik Thomas from Bengaluru swept all three Indian Junior Touring Cars races for a perfect weekend. Kesara Godage from Sri Lanka won twice in the Super Stock competition, while Volkswagen Polo Cup honors went to teammates Aditya Patnaik and Aman Nagdev.
