Tems Ngozi Salah Dominate Africa Peace Icons List

Nigerian singer Tems and World Trade Organization chief Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala earned spots on Africa's top peace leaders list. Organizers announced the 2025 Most Notable Peace Icons Africa during Wednesday ceremonies across Abuja. Liverpool footballer Mohammed Salah from Egypt also received recognition for his community work. Business leaders from Tanzania, Morocco, Zimbabwe and Rwanda joined the prestigious group. Selection committees chose people who help their communities and support young Africans.

Award winners come from many different careers and backgrounds across the continent. Religious leaders, sports stars, business owners and government officials made the final list. Each person demonstrated commitment to helping others and building stronger African societies. Project Director Kingsley Amafibe praised their humanitarian efforts and positive community influence. These leaders overcome challenges and create lasting change for future generations.

Winners will receive their awards during July ceremonies scheduled for Kigali Rwanda. The leadership summit brings together economic experts and government officials from across Africa. Discussions will focus on business growth opportunities and sustainable development projects. Speakers plan to address investment challenges and cross-border cooperation strategies. African leaders hope to boost trade relations and share successful programs between countries.
