Theegala cards 70 in windy Bermuda round

Sahith Theegala climbed to a share of 39th position at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship after posting a 1-under 70 during challenging wind conditions in the third round. The Indian-American golfer recorded five birdies but suffered a costly triple bogey on the par-4 fourth hole following a penalty, leaving him at 2-under for the tournament.

Adam Schenk delivered a flawless 4-under 67 to join PGA Tour rookie Braden Thornberry atop the leaderboard at 12-under. Both leaders represent a group of competitors currently positioned outside the top 100 in FedEx Cup standings, with limited opportunities remaining to secure their tour cards. The season concludes at the RSM Classic at Sea Island, where only the top 100 finishers will earn playing privileges for the following year.

Six players trail the leaders by a single stroke, including former 36-hole leader Adam Hadwin, Max McGreevy, Chandler Phillips and Takumi Kanaya.
