Audio manufacturer THIEAUDIO has launched the HYPE 4 MKII, a comprehensively redesigned hybrid in-ear monitor featuring upgraded components and acoustic engineering. The model incorporates newly selected Knowles balanced armature drivers from the United States, a second-generation IMPACT² subwoofer arrangement borrowed from the flagship Monarch MKIV, and a revised 4-way crossover system with seven passive elements for improved frequency management.
The dual 8mm dynamic driver configuration operates within an isobaric chamber to generate controlled bass response, while four balanced armature units handle midrange clarity and treble extension reaching 22 kHz. THIEAUDIO tuned the system with a 9dB sub-bass boost, a 400 Hz midrange emphasis for warmth, and gradual treble decay for detail retrieval. Each unit uses CNC-machined aluminum housing and undergoes quality verification during assembly.
The package contains a modular cable combining 7N ultra-OFC copper and silver-litz conductors with interchangeable 3.5mm and 4.4mm terminations. Specifications include 18-ohm impedance, 101dB sensitivity at 1 kHz, and a frequency range spanning 5 Hz to 22 kHz.
