Thief Romeo Pemba raids police minister Kazembe's office

Romeo Kurai Pemba faces nine charges of unlawful entry after allegedly breaking into multiple government offices. Harare Magistrate Tapiwa Kuhudzai denied bail on Monday to the repeat offender who was convicted in 2016 for breaking into the Harare Magistrates Court. Prosecutor Takudzwa Jambawo alleged Pemba forced entry into the Office of the President and Cabinet at Mukwati Building on June 18 and stole computer equipment.

Authorities accuse Pemba of targeting the Zimbabwe Statistics Agency at Kaguvi Building on July 4 before striking the Ministry of Home Affairs twice in August. The thief allegedly entered Minister Kazembe Kazembe's office and took computing devices. Pemba also broke into offices handling Gender Mainstreaming on Aug. 29 and stole additional equipment.
