Tidal Terror Tamed by 8km Coastal Wall

Local people feel hopeful about the sea defense project that will protect their homes from ocean waves. The leader thanked President Mahama and other officials for working to solve the coastal flooding problems. Construction crews began preparing the ground for an eight-kilometer wall along the shoreline.

Heavy machines arrived at Havedzi to start building the barrier that will keep communities safe from tidal waves. Workers expect the wall to boost local business opportunities and make life better for families living near the water. The project offers permanent protection against the destructive waves that have damaged homes and property.

Three nearby towns called Salakope, Agavedzi and Amutsinu have avoided major damage from recent wave activity. Regional Minister James Gunu and Member of Parliament Dzifa Abla Gomashie helped secure government support for the defense wall. Officials designed the barrier to shield the coast and create economic growth for affected areas.
