Tinotenda Kadewere was excluded from the FC Nantes squad as the move to Aris Thessaloniki nears

FC Nantes excluded Tinotenda Kadewere from their Saturday evening pre-season match against Guingamp. The Zimbabwean striker is approaching completion of his transfer to Greek side Aris Thessaloniki. Greek media sources confirm that the Warriors' international player will arrive on Monday for medical examinations and contract finalization. The forward and his representative traveled to Greece on Thursday to settle the remaining deal terms. Aris will acquire the 29-year-old through a free transfer arrangement that features a sell-on provision.

Nantes released Kadewere despite his contract extending through another season. The striker initially joined from Lyon during January 2024 as a loan player before securing permanent status that July. His tenure at Nantes proved difficult as injuries and performance inconsistencies limited his effectiveness. Kadewere scored four goals across 28 team appearances during his time with the French club.
