Tinubu heads home after climate summit and UAE trade deal

Tinubu definitely secured the bag before dipping because the President officially left the United Arab Emirates after wrapping up intense climate talks. Bayo Onanuga posted proof on X showing the leader exiting his hotel following Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week. That massive gathering brought heavyweights together under the theme Nexus of Next to push green development.

He attended thanks to an invitation from Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to tighten bonds between the two nations. The Commander-in-Chief delivered a speech promising to chase environmental goals while expanding energy access. He pointed to domestic moves like the Electricity Act, which supports power setups for rural villages.

He also hyped artificial intelligence as a way to upgrade the grid. Real progress occurred when both countries signed the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement to boost commerce. That deal aims to pull in more investment for sustainable projects.

This voyage happened after chatting with Paul Kagame and Emmanuel Macron during a European tour. Sheikh Shakhboot Nahyan Al Nahyan originally welcomed him alongside a team featuring Atiku Bagudu, Jumoke Oduwole, and Yusuf Tuggar.
