Tiny MSI RTX 5060 Slays With GDDR7 Fury

MSI built a tiny graphics card around NVIDIA's RTX 5060 chip with 8 GB of fast GDDR7 memory. The memory runs at 28 Gbps through a 128-bit connection for 448 GB/s total speed. The card measures just 145 × 120 × 45 mm and weighs 581 grams. Gamers can expect good 1080p and 1440p performance from its 3,840 CUDA cores running at 2,512 MHz. Small PC builders will find this card perfect for compact cases.

The card needs 145 watts of power through one 8-pin connector. MSI recommends using at least a 550-watt power supply for stable operation. Three DisplayPort 2.1b outputs and one HDMI 2.1b port handle display connections. The ports support 4K at 480 Hz or 8K at 120 Hz with compatible monitors. Display Stream Compression makes these high refresh rates possible.

MSI added dual BIOS modes called Gaming and Silent that users can switch through MSI Center software. The STORMFORCE cooling system uses seven curved fan blades that push air through the heatsink efficiently. A copper base transfers heat to aluminum fins arranged like a sunflower pattern. The backplate has vents that let hot air escape from tight computer cases. MSI Afterburner software lets users adjust clocks and voltages for better performance.
