Tan Sri Datuk Sir Tiong Hiew King, a 91-year-old businessman and media magnate, was laid to rest at Tiong Memorial Park in Jalan Tebu following a funeral service at New Masland Church in Brooke Drive. The founder of a major media group transformed Chinese-language journalism in Malaysia by overseeing influential publications including Sin Chew Daily, Guang Ming Daily, Nanyang Siang Pau and China Press.
