Trump takes a swing at crypto board games

Trump plans to release a crypto game where players earn digital cash through property development in a virtual city. The game, set to launch this April, joins his growing list of crypto projects. His longtime associate, Bill Zanker, leads the development but denies it resembles MONOPOLY GO!

The president already profits from several crypto ventures. His family collects fees from the World Liberty Financial platform through its $WLFI token. The launch of the $TRUMP meme coin before his inauguration temporarily boosted his wealth to about $70 billion.

Trump Media and Technology Group recently partnered with Crypto.com to create crypto-related ETFs under the Truth.Fi brand. These will include a unique basket containing CRO tokens, among other things. After regulatory approval, the ETFs will become available worldwide later this year.

Financial Times reported last November that Trump Media was close to buying Bakkt, a crypto exchange owned by Intercontinental Exchange. The company board recently approved creating a strategic acquisition fund with select investors, fueling speculation about the Bakkt purchase.
