Trump threatens to sue Wall Street Journal over Epstein birthday letter as feud escalates

President Trump accused the Wall Street Journal of publishing false content after the newspaper reported on a letter bearing his signature found in Jeffrey Epstein's 2003 birthday collection. Trump posted on Truth Social that he and Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt had warned editor Emma Tucker that the document was fake. He claimed Rupert Murdoch promised to stop publication but lacked the authority to prevent it. Trump threatened legal action against the Journal, News Corp, and Murdoch personally.

The reported letter contains adult content with typed conversation between Donald and Jeffrey placed inside a drawing of a nude woman. Trump denied creating the message during a Journal interview, stating he never draws such pictures and the language differs from his style. He called the entire report fabricated news and threatened litigation if it were published.

The development follows Trump dismissing renewed Epstein interest as boring since the financier died years ago in federal custody.
