Trump to honor Mohammed bin Salman at White House

Donald Trump announced that the upcoming White House reception for Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman will feature ceremonial elements typically associated with a state visit, despite being labeled as a working engagement. The US president described the occasion as an opportunity to honor both the kingdom and its leader.

The Crown Prince will participate in a South Lawn arrival ceremony before engaging in bilateral discussions in the Oval Office. Economic and defense agreements between the two nations are scheduled for signing, followed by a dinner organized by First Lady Melania Trump in the East Room.

A gathering of chief executives at the Kennedy Center is planned to coincide with the visit, with Trump expected to attend the US-Saudi Business Council event. The president has prioritized strengthening relationships with Gulf states during his current term, having previously traveled to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar on his initial major international trip.
