Truth Social bets big on real-world wagers

Truth Social will enable users to place wagers on real-world events through a new prediction market feature, announced on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. The platform founded by former President Donald Trump partnered with Crypto.com to offer contracts on political races, commodity values, interest rates, and sporting contests. The service marks the first integration of prediction markets within a social media application.

Trump Media and Technology Group operates the platform, reporting losses of $51.7 million against revenue of just $1.7 million for the first half of 2025. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission regulates prediction markets as financial instruments rather than gambling activities. A Polymarket competitor has recently attracted $2 billion in backing from Intercontinental Exchange, which controls the New York Stock Exchange.

Beta testing is set to begin soon, ahead of the wider release to Truth Social members. Concerns exist about potential addiction among younger participants despite regulatory approval. The company seeks to generate additional income streams through fees and partnerships, while expanding into cryptocurrency products and video streaming services.
