UAE links diplomacy and economic interests under the Principles of the 50

Middle East watchers have spotted something big happening with the UAE. The small nation has grown into a major diplomatic power that talks to everyone. They helped stop the deadly fighting between Iran and Israel. The UAE also made a prisoner swap deal between Russia and Ukraine work. People want to know what the UAE really wants from all this peacemaking.

The UAE hit its 50th birthday after tough times with the Arab Spring and COVID-19. Leaders decided they needed a clear plan for the next 50 years. They created something called the Principles of the 50 in September 2021. The plan puts making money first and uses foreign policy to help business. Working with neighbor countries became a top goal.

Some experts doubted the UAE could pull this off. The Middle East makes it hard to stay friends with Iran, Turkey, and Israel at the same time. The UAE made peace with Israel and fixed problems with Iran and Turkey. They kept their friendship with America strong and built new ties with Russia and China. Even the toughest critics had to admit the plan was working.

The UAE builds everything around two main ideas - security and economics. They use their friendships to calm down fights before they start. Leaders prefer talking over fighting every time. The Principles of the 50 turned out to be more than just words on paper. The UAE proved they meant business with their new way of doing diplomacy.
